Book Review: Theology for Beginners by Frank Sheed

Frank Sheed tackles the hard to grasp doctrines of the Trinity, the nature of man, the fall, redemption and the divinity of Christ to just name a few. Doctrines such as the Trinity and the divinity of Christ can be such a difficult concept to grasp that many life long Christian find it difficult to explain. However Sheed does a great job of discussing and explaining these doctrines in a way that anyone can understand and within the tradition of the Catholic Church. Karl Keating (Wrote the forward) stated that, "Frank Sheed never composed an incoherent sentence." No truer words have ever been spoken of an author about his work. I highly recommend to any Catholic (and non Catholic) seriously interested in understanding these doctrines to pick up Sheed's book.

Frank Sheed had a distinguished career as an evangelist, publisher, lecturer and writer. He and his wife Maisie Ward founded the publishing house Sheed & Ward. His many books include A Map of Life, Theology and Sanity, To Know Christ and the Holy Spirit in Action.
